happy valentines day!

OK. four minutes to tell you about one of the most spectacular places I have ever visited. Whew here I go. So we got the El Chalten,  and it was mighty blustery. the next day we trekked about 9 km to a campground at the bottom of the andes, we made some rice set up camp and went to bed. The next two days consisted of us sitting in our farty tent due to the rain and wind. We made the best of it by reading, sleeping, and Dylan recounting the first two books of lord of the rings to me. Then, on the third day, the rain cleared and our passage to the top of the laguna tres lagos was open. we hiked 2 km straight up and were rewarded with a gorgeous view of fitz royy, glaciers,. waterfalls, and valleys...it was breathtaking. we then hoipped on down the mountain for some delicious beer and dinner! viva el chalten!
